The Administration for Joint Services of the Republic Bodies (further: Administration) was established by the Serbian Government decision (Decision on the Administration for Joint Services of the Republic Bodies, "Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia" - "Sluzbeni glasnik RS", issue 67/91, 79/02, 13/04). From 1983 to 1991, it operated under the name of the Republican Agency for Common Affairs.
By the Serbian Government decision about The Administration for Joint Services of the Republic Bodies, ("Sluzbeni glasnik RS", issue 67/91, 79/02, 13/04) continues work under the nam of Administration for Joint Services of the Republic Bodies.

By the decree regarding the position of some of the institutions of the former Serbia and Montenegro community and the Services of the Ministers Council ("Sluzbeni glasnik RS", issue 49/06) The Administration for Joint Services of the Republic Bodies takes over a certain cases, archive materials, authorities, obligations, equipment and means of work of the institutions of the former Serbia and Montenegro and the Services of the Ministers Council which are ceasing to work.
The Administration provides professional, technical and other joint services to the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, President of the Republic of Serbia, Serbian Government, Constitutional Court of Serbia, Ministries, special organizations and judicial bodies of the Republic (further: republic bodies).
